ECoSmart Fires | built-in Bioethanol Fires

EcoSmart Fires are the biggest manufacturers of built-in bioethanol fires. Their technology has been rigorously developed to provide a quality flame that lasts. Bioethanol fires do provide heat, but it is more about the ambience created, and that is why the flame produced is so crucial. Therefore the flame picture is paramount to the quality of the fire. This is something that EcoSmart excel at. All of their fires produce beautiful flames, but these flames don't just look good... they last too. As the burner technology not only aids the flame picture, but also the burn time too.

The Range Explained

The EcoSmart range is based around the burners themselves. Each of these burners can be purchased individually and used within your own setting, or you can combine it with one of EcoSmarts fires, of which there are hundreds of combinations. At the smaller end, you have the VB2 which is designed to drop into existing fireplace inserts. This rescues many a fireplace where the flue has deteriorated to the point where it is unviable to repair and keep a gas fire. With the VB2 you close off the flue and use bioethanol instead.

Next you have the AB3 and the larger AB8. Two circular burners that are used throughout a number of different fires within the 'Portable' range. Again, these can be purchased separately and dropped into fireplaces that you have created.

We then move to the rectangular burners with a line of flame. These range from the XS340 which is 382mm wide, and the BK5 which is just 400mm at the smaller end, before moving to the XL range which includes the 500, 700, 900 and 1200 models.

All of the burners mentioned above are then also available with a range of fireplaces. These range from the small portable fires, through to slightly larger portable fires like the Stix with resembles a wigwam styles camp fire. The particular fire uses the AB3 burner. Beyond what you would normally class as portable are the fire pits and fire tables. The fire pit bowls use the Ab8, whilst the tables utilise the AB8 and XL900 burners.

A complete fireplace | FLEX Fireplaces

If you are looking to have your bioethanol fire as a 'hole in the wall' styled fire insert, then there is the Flex range. Well named, as there are hundreds of options to ensure that you are able to achieve whatever your design requires. The Flex 18 starts at just 578mm wide, with multiple sizes in between that and the Flex 158 which stretches to an impressive 4231mm wide and utilises 3 XL900 burners within it.

The Flex comes complete with it's own firebox, so all you need to do is create the space for it to be mounted within. There are options for every eventuality, so we have detailed those below.
